Vivianna
Happiness and Hula Skirts
Once upon a time, there was a beautiful little girl named Vivianna. At four-years-old, she was diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition. All the treatments and hospital visits were a big challenge for such a little girl. Then one day the doctor told her something that lifted her spirits like nothing else could. If she could think of the one wish she wanted most, the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of North Texas would make it come true.
With so many possibilities, Vivianna had fun just deciding what her wish would be. Finally, she said, “I wish to go to Hawaii.” And so she did.
Vivianna in Hawaii
In Hawaii, every day brought a new experience – kayaking, snorkeling, a visit to Sea Life Park. And, of course, a traditional Hawaiian luau, where the once-shy Vivianna took the stage and performed the hula with expert Polynesian dancers.
Today, the souvenirs that mean the most to Vivianna are her grass skirt and the memories from her wonderful Hawaiian adventure and a wish come true. Because for once, she was able to make childhood memories that didn’t involve doctors or hospitals. For Vivianna, that simple fact is something magical.
