Noelle
I Wish to go to Australia!
Eight-year-old Noelle is a girl with definite ideas about her once-in-a-lifetime wish. Over spring vacation, she and her family flew to Australia to fulfill her dream.
Noelle had taken her trip seriously, doing her research on all things “Aussie.” She googled places of interest in Australia, downloading photos of kangaroos, koala bears and eucalyptus trees. She had memorized facts and figures about the Sydney Opera House (dimensions and how long it took to build), knew she wanted to visit the Sydney Aquarium and take a harbor cruise. Planning her itinerary was an important part of her wish.
Wishgranters threw a huge bon voyage party, complete with koala bears on the cake and gifts to help make the long plane ride more interesting for Noelle and her little sister Ashley.
Once “down under,” her dream quickly became reality. Beaches, tours, zoos, places of interest and ethnic communities all combined to fill Noelle’s days. Her trip was everything she dreamed it could be! She saw far-away places, met new “mates” and experienced all that Australia had to offer.
Her souvenirs and photographs will continue to remind her of the hope, strength and joy that the “power of a wish” brought to a precocious young lady and the family who loves her.
