Eligibility
Any child between the ages of 21⁄2 and 18 who has been diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition may be considered for our program. Medical eligibility is based on national guidelines and is ultimately determined by the child's physician.
The child may not have received a wish from any Make-A-Wish Foundation office or any other wish-granting organization.
It is important to note that the financial status of a family is never a factor in eligibility and no child who meets our criteria is ever turned away.
If you have any questions concerning a child's eligibility for a wish, please contact Berta James, Director of Program Services, at (214) 496-5021. Healthcare providers may contact Berta James for a copy of our medical guidelines to determine a child's eligibility.
